Phishing: Protect your data

Scammers are sending fake emails pretending to be from nexuzhealth, asking you to log in to your medical record or claim a refund. These emails are not from us. Stay vigilant and always double-check that the messages you receive are genuinely from nexuzhealth.

What is phishing?

Phishing is a type of online scam where criminals attempt to steal your personal information, such as medical or financial details, by pretending to be a trusted organization like nexuzhealth. These scams often involve fake emails that link to fraudulent websites, asking you to enter or update your information.

How to recognize fake emails

  1. Check the sender
Nexuzhealth emails always come from noreply@nexuzhealth.com. Any other email addresses, such as kizofit123@gmail.com or @nexuz-health.info, are not legitimate.

    Trusted
     noreply@nexuzhealth.com

    Fraudulent
     kizofit123@gmail.com
     @nexuz-health.info
     @terugbetaling-nexuz.com, ..

Even emails that appear genuine can be deceptive—inspect the sender carefully.

  2. Hover over links before clicking
Phishing emails often contain links to fake websites designed to steal your information. Before clicking on any link, hover your mouse over it to see the actual URL. Nexuzhealth will only direct you to:

      www.nexuzhealth.com
     www.mynexuzhealth.be
     www.mynexuz.be

We also only link to our apps via:
     https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=be.nexuzhealth.mobile.mynexuz
     https://apps.apple.com/be/app/mynexuzhealth/id1459856321

    Our service desk uses:
     https://nexuzhealth.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portals

    Be cautious of links like:
     www.nexuz-terugbetaling.com
     nexuz-update.mijngegevens.com

  3. Beware of unrealistic or unexpected messages
Phishing emails often contain urgent calls to action, such as "Log in immediately to view your file" or "Confirm your details for a refund." Messages that seem too good to be true, such as unexpected refunds, are typically fraudulent. Nexuzhealth will never ask for sensitive information or payment via email.

  4. What should you do if you’re unsure?
If you suspect an email might be fraudulent, do not click on any links. Instead, manually type www.nexuzhealth.com, www.mynexuzhealth.be, or www.mynexuz.be into your browser to log in securely. If you have any questions, contact us through our service portal.

  5. What should you do if it’s phishing?

Forward the phishing email to suspicious@safeonweb.be. This helps authorities identify and combat large-scale fraud. Once sent, delete the email from your inbox.

  6. Other indicators of phishing
  • Urgent tone or threats: emails pressuring you to act quickly are suspicious.
  • Spelling or grammatical errors: phishing messages often contain mistakes.
  • Unsolicited requests for financial or sensitive information: nexuzhealth never requests sensitive information, such as bank details, via email, SMS, or phone.

What to do if your data might be compromised

If you suspect your data has been exposed, take immediate action:

  • Change your passwords for all potentially affected accounts. Use unique, strong passwords for every service.
  • Check your accounts for suspicious activity, especially if you reused passwords.
  • Enable two-factor authentication wherever possible to enhance security.
  • Educate yourself on cybersecurity best practices and use password managers to prevent future breaches.

Be cautious of other fraud attempts

Scammers may also pose as nexuzhealth via phone or SMS. Never share personal or financial information without verifying the sender. When in doubt, contact us directly.
